NEW at the Walt Disney World Resort

May 4, 2018

The beauty of Disney World is that there is always some kind of secret new attraction brewing behind the scenes to come out and wow us all! Unless you live in Orlando, it’s very unlikely for you to ever come to Disney twice and experience the SAME exact experience as you did the first time. The Disney Imagineers are always ahead of the game when it comes to introducing new technology and amazing new concepts and attractions to all Disney parks! That is why today we decided to make a post highlighting everything that is set to debut at Disney World very soon!

So book your trip at staySky Suites I-Drive Orlando NOW, because things are getting heated pretty soon! Check it out:

Toy Story Land: Disney’s Hollywood Studios has felt a little neglected to some ever since the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show was closed and the Streets of America were also gone. Guests felt especially disappointed during Christmas time after The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights was no longer there as a tradition. But trust us when we say that it was all worthy at the end! All of these changes were made to make space for whole new LAND dedicated to Toy Story that will make you see the world through the eyes of a toy! Guests will “shrink” to the size of a toy and explore the world of Woody, Buzz Lightyear and their friends. You can also expect delicious food creations from Andy’s Woody-themed lunch box that was left open allowing his toys to grab a bite to eat. The Toy Story Land is set to open June 30, 2018.

Walt Disney World - Princess Marathon

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: The most awaited land of all time is also set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019. The Star Wars Land will allow guests to visit a remote trading port on the edge of wild space, where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life and guests find themselves in the middle of the action.

The lands will feature two major attractions. The first will make you feel like you’re on a Star Destroyer inside a hangar bay. It’s an attraction built on a scale never done before.

The second attraction will allow guests to fly the Millennium Falcon, piloting the ship, shooting blasters or preparing for hyperspace while completing a critical mission. It sounds a bit similar to the new Pandora attraction to us and we are OK with that because Flight of Passage is certainly one of the best rides of all time!

Pandora Utility Suit: Pandora – The World of Avatar opened in 2017 but it is now getting a cool new addition! A new, and HUGE, “street entertainer” will wander the land and inform Guests about the flora and fauna on Pandora. A human pilot straps into the cockpit of this exo-carrier and controls its powerful, yet agile movements. And did we mention the creature is about ten-feet high? Such an awesome picture opportunity too!

UP! A Great Bird Adventure: A new fun animal-themed show is now open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The 25-minute show has Russell and his furry friend Dug, from “UP” discovering bird species from around the world– including the marabou stork with an impressive 10-foot wingspan.

Gods of the Vikings: The Stave Church Gallery in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot® now showcases a brand-new exhibit celebrating the legendary Norse gods and goddesses that inspired the ancient Vikings of Scandinavia in their daily lives. Guests can learn more about the Viking gods Thor, Odin, Freyja, and Loki through displays of authentic Viking artifacts.

Guardians of the Galaxy: a “Guardians of the Galaxy inspired attraction is coming to Future World at Epcot and fans can’t wait to experience this new roller coaster! YES! We said roller coaster! Epcot is known for its world pavilions, but it could certainly need some adrenaline, so get ready, as this ride should be ready to debut in 2021.

Ratatouille: After the debut of the Frozen Ever After ride, Epcot will continue to get more kid-friendly with this new “Ratatouille”-inspired attraction that will be added to the France Pavilion. The 4-D ride is also set to open in 2021 for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway: The first Mickey and Minnie ride is set to open at Hollywood Studios in 2019 and will feature a new catchy theme song created especially for the attraction as well as a new experience that defies logic and Disney is calling 2 1Ž2-D. No glasses required. Say what??? So Exciting! You will go on an out-of-control adventure filled with surprising twists and turns.

Tron: The new Tron attraction is set to open in 2021next to Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom Park. The TRON Lightcycle Power Run attraction already exists in Shanghai Disneyland and is a coaster-style attraction!
