Christmas Cookies - staySky Suite I-Drive

The holiday season is finally here, so we wanted to put together this post with a few tips and tricks to help you navigate this busy season in Orlando:

1- Stay in a suite: Suites, like the ones at staySky Suites I-Drive Orlando, that offer a complete kitchen and separate living space are the best investment you can make this season. Why? Because during this time of the year it’s great to have the extra space to relax. Plus, if you feel like having a quiet dinner after a long day of fun at the theme park, you can just head home and eat in the comfort of your suite.

2- Make reservations: To ensure you won’t be stuck waiting in line for long periods of time, you have to plan your outings in advance and make reservations for every place that will allow you to do so. I mean, EVERY place! Even breakfast restaurants. And that includes setting up your Disney Fastpasses+ as soon as you purchase your admission tickets.

3- Check the weather: Yes, we understand that it is winter, but we also know that Florida’s weather can be pretty unpredictable. Try to check the weather as close as possible to your trip and pack accordingly. This 2016 winter has been pretty mild with temperatures reaching mid 80s well into December. But please be warned that temperatures can change drastically throughout the day, so dressing in layers is always the most appropriate route.

4- Buy ahead: Remember that things are likely to sell out, so don’t wait until the last minute to buy essential gifts or tickets. Plus, you take the risk of paying premium price if you wait until the last minute to do your shopping. If you are looking for Disney gear for example, visit the local stores around Orlando to price check their merchandise. They’re often cheaper than buying it on Disney property.

5- Research: Where is the best spot to watch the Disney parade from? Does Disney allow you to take food into the parks? Does the hotel you are staying at offer transportation to Disney? Does your hotel offer hot breakfast? Make sure you go online and find out all of details that can end up putting stress on your vacation if not well researched!

Just remember to cherish the holidays with your family and friends and have a positive attitude, because even with longer lines the theme parks are still a dream come true! We guarantee you will have the most amazing and memorable time here in Orlando with us and we wish you a very happy holiday season!
