Best Discounted Stores in Orlando
July 3, 2015
Shopping is one of the best things to do when on vacation and Orlando is filled with outlets and discounted stores. If you are traveling to Orlando from anywhere in the U.S., you probably already know these stores and maybe even have them near you, but even domestic tourists claim to find better deals in our Orlando stores.
If you are traveling from abroad you may not know these stores and think that any store with the same name might have the same deals. But location does matter! With the amount of tourists roaming around Orlando, it’s hard to find a store that is not already picked to pieces and emptied out of all the goods! Below are the locations you should hit to avoid crossing the paths of the tourism companies that take their guests to places near their hotels by Universal Studios and Disney World. It’s true that you will have to drive a little further, but that should be worth your time if you’re planning to do some serious shopping!
Ross- This store will require patience as you will have to scavenge for goods, but clearance racks and brand-name accessories, purses, luggage, cookware, clothes can be found for very cheap! (306 E. Michigan st.)
Bealls- Along the same lines as Ross- Dress for Less, this store will have many items for sale. Tip: If in doubt when looking for a price tag, always ask a sales associate to scan the item. Sometimes the item has been discountedfurther and the discount is not yet reflected on the tag. (Same Plaza as the Ross above)
Big Lots- There’s something for everyone. Find deals on: housing items, furniture, outdoor living, tailgating, electronics, apparel, beauty, toys, baby and more! Many clearance items can be found for unbelievable prices. Tip: look for the discounted makeup bin that often has $1 products that have just been discontinued by drugstore brands. (751 Good Homes Rd.)
T.J. Maxx- Such a great store to buy luggage, jewelry and designer apparel. (80 W Grant St.)
Seminole Towne Center: this mall is a good 30 miles away from our hotel, staySky Suites I-drive, so keep in mind that if you don’t have a car this will probably be a little too far for you. But if you have a car and would like stop by a less crowded mall with great prices, this is it! (269 Towne Center Circle, Sanford, FL 32771)
Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores: This outlet is under expansion and still remains one of the best “hidden gems” in Orlando. They have amazing stores and are not even close to being as crowded as other outlet malls.
Premium Outlets- They have great deals, so we couldn’t not mention them. But be warned that they are ALWAYS packed. They have two locations: International Drive or Lake Buena Vista and they are both amazing with plenty of stores and great discounts.
The Lake Buena Vista Location seems to offer more parking options as they have a garage. During the summer or holiday months, we would recommend avoiding these if you can. Tip: The Jared store in the International Drive location sells discounted Pandora charms (selective ones).
