Best and Cheaper Orlando Movie Theaters - staySky Suites I-Drive Orlando

We know your main purpose coming to Orlando is not going to the movie theater, but after spending countless hours walking around the theme parks one does crave some down time. And if you love movies and would like to go visit a theater here in Orlando we would like to help you decide where to go! There are a few movie theaters in Orlando that have better prices, but we picked the best value overall for quality, price and location! Here are the pros and cons of the best movie theaters in Orlando:

Cinemark Artegon Marketplace and XD

Pros: You will definitely want to go to the Premium Outlets to score some deals while in Orlando, and this movie theater is right by the outlets on International Drive, so this is a great location! Prices are very affordable when compared to AMC movie theaters at Disney and Universal. Parking is FREE! They also have tons of promotions like Seniors Day on Mondays with tickets at $5.25 and Discount Day on Tuesdays with tickets at $5.50. Very close to our hotel staySky Suites I-Drive.

  • $9.75 regular

  • $7.25 matinee
  • Real3D matinee $10.25 (Before 6 p.m.)
  • 3D matinee $10.25

  • $6.25 early bird (first showing of the day)
  • $9.25 3D early bird

  • $14.50 XD RealD 3D
  • $12.75 3D AD Wknd Eve

Cons: Some of the theater are smaller than usual and International Drive traffic can get pretty intense. Tip: Avoid I-Drive by going through West Oak Ridge Road and entering from the back/side of the mall!

AMC Universal Cineplex 20 with IMAX (Orlando
)

Pros: If you are already planning to visit City Walk, this is perfect! You get to shop, dine and watch a movie! Florida Residents have free parking after 6:00 p.m. with proof of residency. Huge selection of movies and times. Very close to our hotel staySky Suites I-Drive.

  • $11.49 regular
  • $9.90 matinee regular

  • $22 3D regular
  • $13.62 3D matinee

  • #17.35 Imax 3D regular
  • $15.75 Imax 3D matinee

Cons: Regular parking is $20.00, so if you are just planning to watch a movie this can be a big turn off. They do not validate parking at the AMC theater.

Regal Cinemas Pointe Orlando 20 & IMAX

Pros: Pointe Orlando has great restaurant, shopping options and even a comedy club, so you may want to visit the complex regardless of going to the movies! They validate parking for the movie theater, so free parking is always best! They claim to have Central Florida’s largest IMAX screen.

  • $12.02 regular
  • $10.00 matinee

  • $14.26 matinee + Read 3D
  • $16.28 Real3D
  • $18.95 Imax3D

Cons: Prices are not as affordable as Cinemark’s Artegon Marketplace.

AMC Disney Springs 24 with Dine-in Theatres

Pros: They have a movie theatre and restaurant rolled into one where you can enjoy the movie with a menu of delicious options, a full cocktail bar and seat-side service at the push of a button.

  • $11.71 Regular theater
  • $10.11 Regular theater early bird

  • $14.90 fork and screen
  • $18.63 fork and screen + RealD 3D
  • $13.30 fork and screen matinee

  • $17.03 RealD 3D matinee
  • $15.43 RealD 3D

Cons: Prices are pretty spicy and traffic to get to Disney Springs often gets backed up during weekends and holidays. Prices are not easily found online and can get very confusing if you are trying to compare them (you have to click on the time of each showing to see the prices). It’s about $3 more a ticket for the dine-in restaurant but the times on their website are not always assertive with that day’s showing when you are trying to figure out which showing is for dine-in or regular theater. It OFTEN sells out, so unless you buy your ticket online in advance (for a $1.25 fee) you are not guaranteed seating and might have to watch a different movie if your first pick sells out. Tip: Get there early and enjoy Disney Springs.

Prices are subject to change at any time without prior notice. Prices vary for different showing times and days of the week, so the prices listed above should only be used as a guideline. The best value is almost always to go to the theater before 5 p.m. on weekdays. Also, check for seasonal promotions and special discount days before you go. Have fun!
